Telehealth Services

Also known as teletherapy, is a form of video and phone conferencing that allow our therapists to provide services to clients outside of the office. It also provides the opportunity for consultation with family members, teachers, and other provides involved in the client’s care.

You can rest easy knowing your session is secure, effective, and covered. We use secure technology to keep your personal health information private. All telehealth appointments are subject to the same strict HIPAA regulations as in-person sessions. Most insurance policies provide coverage for telehealth appointments and our providers at J2L CCS work with them to ensure you get the care you need.

Individual Therapy

Is a joint process between therapist and client. The goal of therapy can be to inspire change, to help people overcome obstacles to their well-being, or to improve quality of life. People may seek therapy for help with issues that are difficult to face alone. In therapy, one can learn skills to handle challenging situations, deal with negative thoughts and feelings, make healthy decisions, and reach goals.

At J2L CCS , Individual therapy is provided to children and adolescents ages 12 to 17 as well as adults ages 18 and older.

How do I know when it’s time to seek therapy?

It’s time to seek therapy when…

·       The issue you’re facing causes distress or interferes with your daily life functioning

·       You start to experience negative thoughts, feelings, or behaviors

·       If you are often unhappy or feel overwhelmed or hopeless about issues in your life

·       You can’t focus on work or school

·       You start to engage in unhealthy habits to cope or experience an addiction

·       You feel like hurting yourself or someone else

Family Therapy

Is designed to address specific issues that affect the health and functioning of a family. Families may benefit from therapy when they experience any stressful event that may strain family relationships, such as financial hardship, divorce, or death of a loved one. It can also be effective in dealing with mental/emotional health concerns that impact the family unit, such as depression, trauma, substance abuse, and chronic illness; or everyday concerns like communication problems, issues adjusting to living situation, interpersonal conflict, or behavioral problems. Family therapy aims to promote understanding and collaboration among family members in order to solve the problems of more than one individual.

Grief Counseling

Is a form of therapy to help people cope with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive responses to loss. Most people will experience a loss at some time in their lives. Grief is the reaction to loss, while bereavement is a type of grief surrounding the death of a loved one. During these times, people may experience a range of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are difficult for they themselves to even understand.  No one’s expression of grief is the same and there is no one way of grieving that is better than any other.

Biblical/Spiritual Counseling

Is a therapy approach that uses scripture and biblical principles to help one deal with life’s challenges.

Diagnostic Evaluation

An evaluation that helps us to get to know our clients and is completed at the intake appointment. This process includes gathering information about the person’s mood, behavior, and symptoms to better understand what issues or problems might be most difficult for the person. This process can also include questions about the person’s past treatment, personal and family histories, and life experiences. The goal of the evaluation is to determine a client’s mental health diagnosis so that we can provide the most effective treatment.
